UFC 95 Videos: All Fights - Dos Santos, Maia and More

UFC 95 turned out be a lot more entertaining than what most fans, experts and pundits had predicted. While the main event looked like a snooze fest at first sight, it was anything but. Sanchez vs. Stevenson was a great battle and a deserving Fight Of The Night winner. In between we had a couple of big upsets, spectacular knockouts and amazing submissions. Surprisingly only one bout on the main card went the distance while three didn't make it beyond the first round. Once again it was Demian Maia who walked away with the Submission of the Night award, his fourth in five UFC fights. The upset of the night was another easy pick. Paulo Thiago's amazing uppercut K.O over Josh Koscheck at 3:29 of round 1 will go down as one of the upsets of the year. The UFC newcomer was at one stage priced at +600 at various sports books and betting exchanges.

It was a riveting night of fights, here are all the UFC 95 fight videos.

Diego Sanchez vs Joe Stevenson

The atmosphere inside the arena was electric, if the above MMA videos didn't convince you check out this remarkable footage captured by a fan.

Junior dos Santos didn't disappoint after his specular K.O over Werdum. In just two fights, the Brazilian striker was catapulted himself into the top of UFC's heavyweight division.

Josh Koscheck vs Paulo Thiago Knock Out Video

Demian Maia Submission Video Over Chael Sonnen

UK fans were treated to a good show however more star power is need to keep UFC reputation in Europe in tact. With Cro Cop, Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin set to participate, UFC 99 could very well be the biggest European card yet.

Fight Video: Semmy Schilt Submits Mighty Mo

There has been more talk of K1 legend Semmy Schilt making a UFC comeback. Schilt showed well rounded skills in his round 1 victory over unpredictable striker Might Mo. The Golden Glory star is scheduled to take on Badr Hari at K-1 World GP 2009 in Amsterdam.

Chuck Zito - Fight Legend

I cant wait to see Chuck Zito in the ring or cage. He is one of mixed martial arts biggest characters and one of its first celebrity fans. Now you can catch him on satellite radio on Howard 100 and Howard 101. He was also part of Affiliations latest show and was entertaining as hell.

A lot of you will propably find this page looking for info on the infamous Jean Claude Van Dam Chuck Zito street fight if you could call it that. It was a one sided beat down really. Hustler Magazine has a pretty accurate account of the story:

The deed he’s most famous for was when he decked Belgian action hero Jean-Claude Van Damme at a Manhattan strip club in February, 1998.
"The man who calls himself The Muscles from Brussels went down like a sack of potatoes and curled up in the fetal position after taking a blow from his former bodyguard," read an article in The Globe. "This ain’t the movies!" Zito reportedly shouted as Van Damme lay in a heap, "This is the street, and I own the street!"

"[Van Damme] is just a very arrogant and disrespectful person," Zito told the New York Post, whose front-page headline was JEAN-CLAUDE VAN SLAMMED! "He was saying, ‘Chuck Zito doesn’t have any heart.’ There are people who will take that kind of abuse. I am not one of them," claimed the man who came to be known as "The Van-Damminator."

This interviewer is lucky to escape with his life after disrespecting the legendary Chuck Zito.

Josh Koscheck Angry At Referee Stoppage

I've watched the fight video several times now and have come to the conclusion that the referee's stoppage was the right one. Koscheck demonstrated immediately and was clearly upset with the referee's decision. Check out this fascinating behind the scenes footage inside his locker room.

Combat Sambo: Fedor Wins Gold at Russian Championships

Fedor Emelianenko captured the Russian Combat Sambo Championship for the fifth time over the weekend. For the entire tournament he spent less than a minute in the ring with the final lasting less than 20 seconds. Unlike last years world championships, this tournament was a cake walk for the WAMMA heavyweight champion. The final fight was captured via video phone below.

Overeem vs Remy Bonjasky Fight Video

It has just been announced that Alistair Overeem has been offered another K-1 match by FEG. The proposed opponent is K1 champion Remy Bonjasky. Alistair and his management (Golden Glory) have already accepted the offer, the ball is now in Bonjasky's court according to our source (MixFight). At the end of 2008 Overeem shocked the martial arts world by knocking out K-1 star Badr Hari phenomenal fashion under K1 rules. On March 28 Alistair will continue is K1 career and with a win over Bonjasky could become the worlds most feared striker.

Gilbert Yvel Relocates To US to Prepare For Affliction, Signs Dream Contract

Dutch website Fighttalk.nl has the breaking news, translation by Free Fight Videos.

Affliction was more than satisfied with the performance its most recent heavyweight recruit at their latest event, Fedor vs. Arlovski.
In order to best prepare Afflictions third show Gilbert Yvel has made the move to the United States in order to train with good friend and former coach John Lewis. Gilbert awaits a major challenge in his next bout as he is rumored to face either Mark Hunt or Andrei Arlovski. Together with Fedor, Andrei Arlovski and Jost Barnett, Affliction holds arguably the toughest heavyweight lineup in the world. No doubt several interesting match-ups are available for the Dutchmen. On top of that DREAM has signed the former Pride star to a four fight deal that should keep him active for the entire year. It will be a busy 12 months for the entertaining striker.

Chuck Liddell Dating Adult Star Jayden James

Dating is the wrong word here. You cant really call it dating when the person you're going out with has a gang bang shoot the same day. In any case the two “stars” appear to be in date type relationship if the guys over at whosdatedwho.com are to be trusted.

Jayden is one of the adults rising stars, winning last years “Best New Starlet” at the AVN Awards. She was recently confronted by anti porn crusaders “The Pink Cross Foundation” led by former adult star Shelley Lubben. The former actress covered the hilarious meeting in her blog below.

Also make sure to check out this place. Ive been able to find five or six big name porn star escorts on there.

Meeting with Jayden Jaymes on MTV was amazing. Three ex porn stars, Jan, Tamra and myself were asked by MTV producers to share our “reality” about porn to Porn Star Jayden James who was nominated for “Best New Starlet in Porn” for the AVN Awards.

We lovingly explained to Jayden James, a 22 year old woman, the consequences she may endure to include sexually transmitted diseases, reproductive organ damage, broken family relationships, prostitution and possible drug abuse.

She argued she was “different” although admitted that she had a problem with drugs less than one year ago. She also admitted by age 22 she already caught Chlamydia twice. I asked her if she was aware that Chlamydia leads to cancer later in life but she really felt it couldn’t happen to her. She also admitted on camera that 90% of the girls in porn are addicted to drugs and shouldn’t be in porn. I guess she feels she is in the 10% elite that won’t be negatively affected by porn.

She also expressed how excited she was when she was nominated for the award and how she cried over it. Tears over a porn award? I asked her what she thought her grandchildren and children would think of her award if she won. Was this the grand legacy she would leave them? She told me she believes she can make porn and have a healthy family at the same time. I argued that less than 10% of porn performers have normal healthy families. Again, she must think she's in the 10% elite.
Keep up with Jayden’s life at her Youtube blog.

Update: Dont forget to check out Chuck Liddell's reaction to the rumors.

Below Jayden James rated PG.

Cro Cop In Talks With Affliction and UFC

Mirko Cro Cop has returned to training after his January knee reconstruction. In a recent interview with Croatian sports magazine "Sportske Novosti" Cro Cop talked about his recovery, training and possible comeback fight.

"I'm training as much as I can at this stage of the recovery. I'm mainly working on weights and cardio with conditioning coach Jukic. As things stand at the moment I can say that the operation went very well." Said an optimistic Cro Cop.

His NYE bout with Hong Man Choi ended his DREAM contract. He confirmed rumors that the UFC were indeed in contact with him however he has offers from both DREAM and another US based promotion.

"I'm in talks with the Japanese, which of course is natural, since they treated me so well over the years. And its not a secret anymore that the UFC have contacted me. I'm also in talks with another US organization."

Mirko said that he would make his decision in less than a month. Cro Cop's return is still some months away however will it be in the Japanese ring, the UFC or even Affliction? (Source: Croatian daily sports newspaper Sportske-Novosti/ Translation: FFV)

UFC Back On German TV In March

Its official the UFC will return to German TV on the 7th of March. The first details have emerged of the deal via German network DSF. The 24 hour sports network has posted the following on their website. This exclusive translation via “Free Fight Videos”.
"As real as it gets" - experience non stop fight action with a "decathlon of martial arts"

Starting next month, DSF will broadcast the Ultimate Fighting Championship every Saturday from 11PM.

Ultimate Fighting has its origins in Bruce Lee's "Jeet Kune Do". It combines a variety of martial arts such as boxing, kickboxing, karate, wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. Two combatants battle it out in an octagon over three rounds that are 5 minutes long. Victory can be achieved by knockout, submission or a points decision . The security and saftety of the Ultimate Fighters will be determined by a long list of well-defined rules and regulations. With the UFC, the DSF is now the German home of the most successful Mixed Martial Arts Organization (MMA) in the world.
Dana White had hinted that he had signed a German TV deal when he spoke with Fighters Only Magazine. There hasn’t been an official press release or statement by either the UFC or DSF so there are not many details other than the brief note above. However the small preview does say that the network will broadcast 20 events in 2009. The show featured on the 7th will be an episode of "UFC Unleashed" with past fights of Keith Jardine vs. Chuck Liddell, Tyson Griffin vs. David Lee, Frank Mir vs. Antoni Hardonk and Patrick Cote vs. Kendall Grove to be replayed.

DSF (Deutsches Sportfernsehen/ German Sports Television) is a dedicated sports television channel. It holds the rights to German Football (Soccer), NBA, Handball, and dozens of other sports. Its also the home of some WWE shows and kick boxing events.

Machida vs. Thiago Silva Fight Video

This was one of the most overlooked fights of the year however it ended in memorable fashion. I don't think that Lyoto Machida had won over every UFC fan on Saturday however after last night there can be no doubt that he truly is among the elite of the sport. He completely controlled the unbeaten Thiago Silva for the entire first round and finished him of with some hard hitting ground and pound. Below is the video of the UFC 94 knockout of the night winner, Lyoto Machida vs Thiago Silva.

Lyoto Machida vs. Thiago video

Machida deserves a shot at light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans more than anyone else at the moment. No matter what happens between Rampage and Jardine, I want to see "The Dragon" be the next man to fight for belt 2009.

MMA Videos: UFC 93 Fight Videos

This past month was one of the busiest and biggest in the history of mixed martial arts. In total there were three events that stopped the fight world. The first was the long awaited match-up between to former middleweight champions, UFC 93: Franklin vs. Henderson. Also on the card was the return of Shogun and Coleman. Despite looking promising this card failed to live up to the hype. I could ramble on about how each match-up disappointed me in its own way or I could just link to the actual fight videos. You be the judge, how bad was UFC 93 in your mind?

Dan Henderson vs. Rich Franklin

Henderson looked to have controlled most of the fight with Franklin making a good comeback late in the third. The decision was fair and will place Henderson only one fight away from a rematch with Anderson Silva. That fight should be a lot more competitive than their first.

The atmosphere inside the O2 arena looked amazing. Too bad the fights did live up the fans enthusiasm. Below is a video of Shoguns entrance. Rua came to the song; Sail by Armin Van Buuren.

Dan Henderson's Post Fight Video Interview
Dan Henderson seemed relatively satisfied with his performance in his post fight video interview with ESPN.
