Melvin Manhoef vs. Keijiro Maeda Video - K-1 World GP

This is a must watch K1 video. After knocking out heavyweight Mark Hunt, Melvin Manhoef was expected to dominate the K-1 World GP 2009 however things didn't quite go to plan. Japanese sensation Keijiro Maeda ended Manhoef's night with a precise right hand only two minutes into their semifinal fight.

Viacheslav Datsik Fight Videos

Viacheslav Datsik is one of the most entertaining and exciting fighters to ever step into a ring or cage. If you don't know who he is, you really owe it to yourself to click on the video below.

Andrei Arlovski lost to this guy only ten years ago. Datsik knocked out the former UFC champion at M-1 MFC - World Championship 1999. I know there are many dream match-ups fans have been hoping for this year including Fedor vs. Lesnar, Machida vs. Rampage, St Pierre vs. Silva but for me its Datsik vs. Arlovski 2. Who's with me?

Antoni Hardonk Fight Videos

Antoni Hardonk is slowly but surely positioning himself as a top UFC heavyweight contender. An impressive win over Cheick Kongo will place him near the top of a relatively weak division. The main card bout for UFC 97 is my prediction for fight of the night.

The imposing Dutch kickboxer is in elite company. He is part of a select few to have both fought in K-1 and the UFC. He has faced the likes of Frank Mir, Ibragim Magomedov and Badr Hari. The Team Vos member has seen many ups and downs in both his short career. Follow Hardonk's journey via these fight videos below.

Russian TV Report on Fedor Emelianenko

This is a collection Russian news clips on Fedor, his life and career from 2002 to 2006. The first clip appears to be a "60 Minutes" style report on Fedor (possibly from his hometown), followed by various other news clips which include interviews with his coach and wife. Even if don't understand the language you get a sense of Fedor's background, life and family you don't usually get in typical MMA interviews.

Dream Plan Heavyweight Weight Grand Prix

Rumors from Japan and Croatia (Sportal/Index) are emerging that Dream is in the process of organizing a heavyweight or open weight grand prix later this year. Fighters like Fedor Emelianenko and Mirko Filipovic are being canvassed by FEG while Alistair Overeem, Sergei Kharitonov, Gilbert Yvel and Semmy Schilt are certain participants should Dream go ahead with the tournament .

Former UFC fighter and Pride Grand Prix champion Mirko Cro Cop has a had great desire to rematch Fedor Emelianenko ever since their 2005 battle. The Pride New Years Eve bout was one of most anticipated fights in MMA history. WAMMA heavyweight champion Emelianenko has often cited Cro Cop as the most difficult opponent in his career. It is being reported that Dream used the Russian as a bargaining tool to coax Cro Cop back to Japan and away from the UFC.

The Croatians greatest success to date came in 2006 when he won Pride’s Open Weight Grand Prix. Filipović is scheduled to make his comeback in July.

Cro Cop Signs Three Fight Extension With Dream/FEG

Mirko Cro Cop will return to Japan for his comeback fight after today announcing a three fight deal with FEG, the parent company of Dream and K1. Leading Croatian sports website Sportal broke the news. Cro Cop's first fight will most likely take place in July.

“The wish of the Japanese promotions is for me to fight Overeem in a K1 rules bout in July. I’m all for continuing our battle from last year.” said Cro Cop.

The Japanese promotion Dream where quick to react after it was revealed that Cro Cop was close to signing a deal with the UFC. Dream has offered Cro Cop three fights, two under mixed martial arts rules. One of those could be a December bout with Fedor Emelianenko. Since his 2005 loss to Fedor, Cro Cop has had a strong desire to rematch the worlds best MMA heavyweight.

“It was on NYE that I fought Fedor and I hope for a return bout this year.”

There were rumors that Cro Cop could take part in a fight in Belgrade, Serbia however Filipović vehemently denied those rumours when we contacted him.

“No, no one from Belgrade called me. Nor do I know of an organization that would be able to put on a show over there. I don’t plan to fight there.”

Cro Cop knee is recovering better than expected and hence his return remains ahead of schedule. The Croatian will start boxing in three weeks and will incorporate kicks in his training in May.

Matt Brown vs. Pete Sell Video at UFC 96

Matt Brown's performance was one of the big surprises at UFC 96. He completely dominated the experienced Pete Sell. Another high light (or low light) was the refereeing of Yves Lavigne. This is a must watch vid from UFC 96.

Matt Hamill vs. Mark Munoz Video

Matt Hamill is back! A spectacular Cro Cop like high kick earned Hamill "Knockout of the Night" honors for the first time in his career. Wresting prodigy Mark Munoz was simply too inexperienced for the resurgent Hamill. See the full fight video below.

Shane Carwin Gabriel Gonzaga fight video

The line makers certainly respected Shane Carwin but no one could have predicted a first round knockout victory against a former top heavyweight contender. Gonzaga looked very good early however clearly underestimated the hands of Carwin. Carwin's spectacular knockout was slightly unlucky not win "Knockout of the Night" honors. Check out the exciting fight video below.

Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta and leading German concert promoter Marek Lieberberg were all part of the UFC 99 press conference in the city of Cologne in preparation for the first ever UFC event in Germany. Randy Couture, Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva rounded out the UFC contingent present at the Lanxess Arena.

"UFC 99: The Comeback" will be headlined by catch weight bout between Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva. The card will take place at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne on Saturday, June 13. Also set participate are Cain Velasquez, Heath Herring, Caol Uno, Spencer Fisher and Ben Saunders. Mirko Cro Cop has indicated that he is a possibility for the event however his name was not mentioned during the press conference.

The media coverage was surprisingly big. Every major media outlet was present for this historic moment. .

Randy Couture alongside German fighters Dennis Siver and Peter Sobotta conducted a brief MMA 101 class for the German press. Couture’s knowledge of the German language came in handy throughout. The former heavyweight champion later conducted several interviews with German TV and print media.

Unlike other UFC press conferences a lot of time was spent introducing MMA and the UFC to the German media. Many of the questions were quite basic and naive. The same type of questions you'd expect from anyone new to sport. White said that Germany will become a regular fixture on the UFC calendar. He added that the UFC plans to nurture and create home-grown German MMA talent.

"June 13, 2009, is a huge day in the history of the UFC. It has been a long time coming, but the best fighters on the planet are finally heading to Germany for our first event ever in mainland Europe."

“We are coming with a stacked card and a unique main event. Rich Franklin v Wanderlei Silva is another of those dream fights fans never thought they’d get to see - but we are making it happen in Germany."

As for the main event White states “Everyone knows Rich moved up to light heavyweight a couple of fights ago while Wanderlei is planning on fighting at 185lbs from now on, but this fight is too exciting a match not to happen and both these guys deserve a ton of credit for taking this fight at 195lbs.”

When asked if any K1 fighters would be part of the card, White said:"Any thing is possible."

UFC Chairman Lorenzo Fertitta added: "Our vision for the UFC has always been global. Following on from our successes in the United Kingdom and Ireland, our first card in mainland Europe is another significant step towards making the UFC's brand of mixed martial arts the biggest sport in the world."
